How to Build a Weekly Posting Routine

Social media feels overwhelming when you treat it as a daily chore. The trick is to build a simple weekly routine that becomes a habit, just like checking your diary or cleaning your brushes.

Here’s a simple routine many salons find helpful:

Monday – Post a transformation photo from last week.
Wednesday – Share a quick tip, product, or advice post.
Friday – Show some personality with a team photo, client shoutout, or behind-the-scenes video.

That’s three posts, spaced out, covering a good balance of content types. You can adjust the days to fit your schedule, but having a repeatable pattern makes posting feel less like a guessing game.

Once you have your weekly routine, you can batch your posts. Spend 30–60 minutes at the start of the week preparing captions and photos. Schedule them if possible. That way, social media doesn’t interrupt your day when you are busy with clients.

Three steps you can take now

  1. Choose three posting days each week and stick to them.
  2. Decide in advance what type of content you’ll share each day.
  3. Use free scheduling tools to take the pressure off posting in real time.

Routine brings freedom. It stops social media from controlling your time.
