Review Monthly Social Performance

How to Review Your Monthly Social Media Performance

Running a salon leaves little time for in-depth analysis, but taking just a few minutes each month to review your social media can make a huge difference. By stepping back and looking at the bigger picture, you can see what is working, what needs improvement, and how your efforts connect to real business results.

Start by checking your top performing posts. Which ones had the most engagement, saves, or enquiries? These are the posts that resonate most with your audience, so make more of them. If transformations get the most interest, plan to share more before-and-afters. If tips are saved regularly, create a weekly advice post.

Next, look at growth. Did you gain new followers this month? More importantly, did you gain new bookings that came from social media? Follower growth is good, but actual clients matter more.

Finally, review consistency. Did you post as often as planned? If not, what got in the way? Often, small adjustments to your routine can help keep you on track.

A monthly review does not need to be complicated. Ten minutes with your insights and a notebook is enough. Over time, these small check-ins will help you refine your strategy and save you time.

Three steps you can take now

  1. At the end of each month, write down your top three performing posts.
  2. Record how many bookings came from social media mentions.
  3. Adjust next month’s plan based on what worked best.

Monthly reviews give you clarity and help you grow with confidence.
